Mineralogical and spectral characteristics of Changbai jade, Jilin province, Northeast China

Changbai jade is a type of ore with good economic value that found in the tuff Upper Triassic Formation Mesozoic period Jilin Province, China. However, mineral composition kaolinite group Jade has not been definitively identified, and there lack systematic mineralogical spectral analysis. To analyze spectroscopic characteristics jade, this study utilized several modern testing methods, including X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive (EDS), Fourier transform infrared absorption spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectrum test (Raman), Ultraviolet visible (UV-vis). Mineralogical analyses were conducted on samples CB21 CB22. The results indicated main metamorphic minerals two are dickite color-causing factor yellow part pyrite. This research provides basic theoretical data for processing technology geological origin jade.
